The current strategy of exclusive titles is rumored to be unprofitable. There are reports of games being moved from Xbox to PlayStation. This means that PS5 owners may soon enjoy Starfield.
It is said that multiplatform releases for Xbox are happening, and it’s not just “Sarah Bond [current head of Xbox – ed.]” announcing it. It would be terrible if Sarah were to take the blame for it, as it is the failure of Xbox projects, in which Sarah has not been clearly involved since 2012, that led to this.
Microsoft basically decided that it won’t make enough money with the current strategy. Some sources have said that “all games” from Xbox will be available on PS5, while others have said that it applies only to “some” of the portfolio. Starfield on PlayStation is expected to come out after the release of a major DLC.
This is just the beginning and a preview of something bigger. We can expect an official announcement of the new publishing strategy later this month.
